Michael K. Cochran, M.D.
Dr. Cochran graduated from Rush Medical College. His internship and residency in Internal Medicine were completed at Evanston Hospital, including an additional year as Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Cochran completed his Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Michigan. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
Dr. Cochran is the Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at Condell Medical Center. He is also the Medical Director of the Lake Forest Division of Rush Hospice Partners, an Assistant Professor at Rush Medical College in Chicago and on the Physician Review Committee of ISMIE. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists and the American Society of Hematology.
David J. Slivnick, M.D.
Dr. Slivnick graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School and completed his internship and residency at the same institution. His fellowship in Medical Oncology/Hematology was completed at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Slivnick is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.
Dr. Slivnick is an Assistant Professor at Rush Medical College and the Clinical Director of the Condell Medical Center Hospice. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists and the American Society of Hematology.
Dean G. Tsarwhas, M.D.
Dr. Tsarwhas graduated from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 1987. He completed his residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Tsarwhas attended Dana Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard Medical School for his Medical Oncology Fellowship. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
Dr. Tsarwhas is Vice-Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at Lake Forest Hospital. He is also an Assistant Professor at Rush Medical College and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists and the American Society of Hematology.
Dr. Tsarwhas is married and has three children. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and golf.
Michael B. Soble, M.D.
Dr. Soble graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and completed his residency and fellowship in Oncology/Hematology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
Dr. Soble is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists and the American Society of Hematology.
Thomas Weyburn, D.O.
Dr. Weyburn graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed one year of residency in family practice at LaGrange Memorial Hospital prior to his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Lutheran General Hospital. Dr. Weyburn completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Dr. Weyburn served on the Medical Executive Committee at Good Shepherd Hospital. He is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago and an Associate Medical Director with Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.
Jerry Liu, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Liu graduated from the Wayne State University of Medicine, earning both his Ph.D. in biochemistry and his Doctor of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Michigan, and his fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the University of California San Diego Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.
Dr. Liu is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Syed Ahmed, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Ahmed earned his Bachelor of Science from The College of William and Mary in Virginia. He graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, attaining both a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Doctor of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine, and his fellowship in Medical Oncology at the University of Chicago. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Ahmed is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists.
Elizabeth Chung, M.D.
Dr. Chung earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Amherst College in Massachusetts. She graduated from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, attaining her Doctor of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at the UCLA Department of Medicine. She then served a year as a Clinical Instructor in the UCLA Department of Medicine. She completed her fellowship in Medical Oncology at the University of Chicago. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Chung is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, classical music, fiction/poetry, yoga, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family.
